UNA NZ is hosting our first Diplomatic Seminar for 2021!

5 May 2021

UNA NZ is hosting our first Diplomatic Seminar for 2021!

The Sustainable Development Goals or Global Goals are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all". The SDGs were set up in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by the year 2030. In the spirit of increasing public awareness on SDGs implementation in different countries and their partnership with the United Nations to achieve SDGs targets, the United Nations Association of New Zealand (UNANZ) in collaboration with Inter-Parliamentary Relations of the New Zealand Parliament will be presenting a Diplomatic Seminar Series: Partnership with the United Nations for SDGs achievements, with a particular focus in the Philippines and Papua New Guinea.

The event will be held on Thursday, 13 May 2021 (from 5.30 PM) at the Select Committee Room 4 in the NZ Parliament Building. There will be also an option for participating via Zoom Webinar for those who wish to do so.

Join our panel, which will include H.E. Francis Agwi (Papua New Guinea High Commissioner to New Zealand) and H.E. Jesus Domingo (The Philippines Ambassador to New Zealand).

Following registration you will be sent a more detail information about the event.
