25 November 2019
On 21 November UNA NZ hosted the 'UN Immigration compact' event at Parliament.
The UN Global Compact Agreement was signed by New Zealand on 10 December 2018 in Marrakesh, Morocco. This has created considerable media interest that it might affect the sovereignty of New Zealand. Through this event UNANZ is aiming towards educating people on the content, objective and the benefit of adopting the compact.
Distinguished speakers include:
- Hon Iain Lees-Galloway [Minister for Workplace Relations, ACC, and of Immigration]
- Professor Paul Spoonley [College of Humanities and Social Sciences - Massey Univ.]
